Overview
Hernando County Fire Rescue (HCFR) serves a geographically diverse region that includes railways, forests, interstates, and waterways. This variety demands a high level of versatility and readiness from the department.
Upon joining HCFR, Captain Brian Nigro noticed many of the firefighters were relatively young and entered the field with strong software skills but limited hands-on technical experience.
Challenge
Prepare technology-oriented teams to operate pumps quickly and confidently.
Solution
SAM BOOST allowed firefighters of all ages to quickly glance at the panel, determine if the pump is primed, and move into action. Trainined new recruits to use BOOST was easy and quick.
