Akron Brass & Weldon Launch New Products at FDIC in Indianapolis

Wooster, Ohio – Akron Brass and Weldon, a division of Akron Brass delivers a host of new and innovative products at the Fire Department Instructors Conference (FDIC) in Indianapolis.

At the FDIC, several new products were introduced consisting of an expansion of Hand Tools with the addition of several Forestry and Forcible Entry tools. Leading the way in Ultra High Pressure (UHP) technology, Akron released a full line of UHP products including an bumper monitor, two new handline nozzles and a full line of Booster Hose Reels….all of which are rated up to 1500 psi. 

Other products debuted at FDIC were the next generation of Akron’s legendary Swing-Out Valve with a newly designed consolidated valve body, a technologically advanced Universal II monitor control system, and the highly engineered Trident HFRT-10 High Flow Monitor.

Weldon, a division of Akron Brass unveiled D-TEK; a wireless maintenance system which retrieves and captures critical vehicle maintenance data through leading edge technology. Along with D-TEK, Weldon displayed their 1017 Series LED Stop, Turn & Tail and Backup Lamps, 8401 LED Door Warning Lamp, Diamondback™ LED Warning / Area Illumination Lamp, Aero-Maxx® II LED Lightbars, 8049 Series LED Ambulance Interior Dome Lamp and enhanced V-MUX® Multiplexing System Components.
