Continued Customer Focus in Canadian Market

Monday, January 22, 2007

Wooster, Ohio - Akron Brass announced today an operational streamlining by moving some distribution that was formerly done in Aylmer, Ontario to their primary Ohio headquarters.  This will be effective February 1, 2007.  With the closure of the Aylmer facility, this will keep vital continuity and efficiency in providing industry leading firefighting and rescue equipment from a centralized location.

At the same time, Akron Brass reiterated their continued long-standing commitment to the Canadian market with all sales personnel remaining in Canada to focus on the specific needs and requirements of Canadian customers.  In addition, dedicated customer service will be provided through Michael Kling at telephone 1-800-228-1161 or via e-mail at mkling@akronbrass.com

The Akron Brass sales team of Steve Robertson, Ray Thompson, Normand Gareau, and Jeff French will remain strategically located throughout the country to provide continuous product sales and support for Canadian fire departments, distributors, and OEM customers.  This includes the traditional line of Akron Brass products as well as the Weldon division of lighting and multiplexing.

For more specific information, please contact Steve Robertson at cellular 519-670-4564.
