Akron Brass Company Acquires Weldon Technologies, Inc.

Wooster, Ohio-Akron Brass Co., a worldwide marketer and manufacturer of innovative products for firefighting, emergency rescue, homeland security, deicing, and other specialized industrial applications, announced today that it has acquired Weldon Technologies, Inc. located in Columbus, Ohio.

Founded in 1967, Weldon Technologies, Inc. is an ISO 9001: 2000 registered company that develops, manufactures, and sells state-of-the-art lighting devices and customized electrical control solutions for specialty vehicle markets. This includes ambulance, fire truck, school bus, recreational vehicle and marine markets.

Over the past 35 years, Weldon Technologies has designed and introduced many cutting-edge products including the V-MUX® multiplex system that utilizes power distribution units or nodes to reduce and replace traditional wiring harness bundles and electrical hardware. Other products include a broad array of warning lights, vehicle interior dome lights, marker lamps, scene lighting, and other lights – including several LED configurations.
