Butterfly Valves

A butterfly valve and butterfly valve products are used to isolate or regulate the flow of water/liquid. The mechanism that closes off the amount of water that flows through the apparatus is in a form of a disc. The disc is positioned in the center of the pipe with a rod passing through it that is connected to an actuator on the outside of the valve. Unlike a ball valve, no matter which way you turn the butterfly valve the disc is always there and will always present a pressure drop in the water flow. The butterfly valves manufactured by Akron Brass are designed to regulate your desired flow. The butterfly valve operates up to 250 psi and meets NFPA 1901 Standard for opening and closing speed when used with gear, air or electric actuators.
