Akron Brass Adds Personnel to Sales Team
Ohio fire manufacturer strengthens sales presence in North America
Wooster, OH, (August 14, 2015) – Akron Brass Company, a leader in high performance firefighting equipment, is pleased to announce the addition of three new District Sales Managers to its professional sales staff. With a strong commitment to their customers, the new hires bring years of fire industry knowledge and direct sales experience to the team.
Alain “Al” Gelinas will manage the territory of Quebec and the Atlantic Provinces. Gelinas has direct selling and sales management experience from Plastiques Brayneck Canaplast, a copolymer tank builder, where he served as Sales Manager. Prior to his work at Brayneck, he also supported fire equipment sales at Les Echelles C.E.Thibault. Gelinas has a very strong work ethic as well as an understanding of the customer base in Quebec.
Serving customers in the states of Texas, Louisiana, and Oklahoma, David Johnson joined Akron from Dooley Tackaberry where over the past 10+ years has excelled in various roles within their technical support and sales functions. For the past three years, Johnson has worked within the municipal sales role where he was successful in growing the business consistently year over year. David has significant fire service-related experience and strong customer relationships within the industry.
Responsible for the states of Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia as well as the District of Columbia, David Robinson joins Akron with over 25 years of technical sales and service experience within the Public Safety industry. Robinson brings a solid understanding of our industry, a track record of developing and strengthening relationships, and the territory management skills necessary for our business development focus. In addition, David has a history of volunteer service within the Henrico County and Lakeside Volunteer Rescue Squads where he served in various board member and leadership roles.
