Alexis Fire Equipment was founded by Gene Morris in his hometown of Alexis, Illinois, in 1947. Since that time, the company has evolved and grown from a small fabrication shop with a handful of workers to a large and well-equipped manufacturing company that employs over 75 skilled engineers, assemblers, mechanics, and support staff.  

Pierce is the largest fire apparatus manufacturer in the United States and offers a wide range of fire, rescue, and special services vehicles. Over the past ten years, Akron Brass has worked closely with Pierce to develop new products that best meet their customers' needs.
